The dragonfruit plant—also known as pitaya or pitahaya—is a climbing cactus species from the genus Hylocereus (most commonly Hylocereus undatus, Hylocereus costaricensis, and Hylocereus megalanthus). It's cultivated for its striking, tropical fruit known for its vivid skin and sweet, mildly tangy flesh.
